Hello, my name is Lauren MacDonald.
I am humbled and honored to have the privilege to begin to incorporate my growing knowledge of plant based medicine and energetic modalities into a practice to serve communities around me.
I come to this practice through a journey started in my own search for healing. I am constantly in awe of the power of plant medicine and have benefited from their profound work with my body and spirit.
I am currently living on Nimiipuu Land in Wallowa County Oregon. I hold gratitude and respect to the First Nations people of this land that I am living on today and acknowledge the trauma and colonization that is part of this land's history and contemporary story.
It is my intention to challenge internal and external forces of colonization, capitalism and white supremacy in my life and practice as herbalist.
I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to study with Karyn Sanders and Sarah Holmes at Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine. I align much of my practice with what they have taught me and hold great respect to their teachings and practices. I have also been fortunate to study at the California School of Herbal Studies in the Handcrafted program, which rooted me the foundations of this practice.
I am trained and licensed as a Registered Nurse. This background informs my work tremendously and I strive to help people find a balance working with multiple systems and modalities of care including western conventional medicine and herbal medicine.
I am trained as a birth, postpartum and abortion doula and offer non-judgmental full spectrum generative health support.
